NSF and UCF Fee Increase

Effective September 2017, the Insufficient Funds (NSF) and Uncollected Funds (UCF) Fees on small business checking accounts have increased to $44.00 per instance.

What is an Insufficient Funds fee and how can I avoid it?

Insufficient Funds (NSF) Fees occur when a payment you make overdraws your account.

To avoid NSF fees, be sure you always have funds in your account to cover any outstanding items, such as checks you write or payments you make online.

What is an Uncollected Funds Fee and how can I avoid it?

Uncollected Funds (UCF) Fees occur when payments you make exceed the funds you have available to use from a recent deposit.

To avoid UCF fees, be sure that you allow enough time, generally two business days, for deposited checks to clear before using those funds.
