Switching your accounts
Thank you for making the move to MB! To make your transition seamless, we’ve put together a kit to make switching your direct deposits and automatic payments as easy as possible in just three steps:
1. Set up a direct deposit transfer
With direct deposit, your check is automatically deposited into your account and available sooner than regular check deposits. It’s safer than a paper check, and you’ll never have to worry about getting to the bank to make a deposit.
To get started, fill out the direct deposit form from the MB Switch Kit (PDF), and send it to your direct deposit provider. If you need help, please give us a call at 1.888.i bank mb (1.888.422.6562) and we’ll walk you through the process.
2. Set up an automatic payment transfer
Automatic payment allows your service provider (utility company, cell phone company, etc.) or billing company to debit your monthly bills directly from your account. You’ll never need to worry about lost checks or running to the post office. Best of all, it’s free.
To get started, contact your billing companies if you’ve never used automatic payments. If you have, fill out the automatic payment transfer form from the MB Switch Kit (PDF) for each automatic payment you want to switch.
3. Close your old bank account
When you’re sure all of your checks and transactions have cleared your old bank account and balances have transferred to your new MB account, complete and send the account closing form from the MB Switch Kit (PDF) to close your old bank account.
