Michael "Mike" Rash joined MB in January 2017. He has been a mortgage lender for more than 20 years, closing over $350,000 million in residential mortgage loans and specializes in conventional, FHA, refinance, purchase, and new construction.
Mike graduated from Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI, and also completed the ABA Graduate School of Banking (2012-2014) at University Pennsylvania/Wharton Business School. He has been serving on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity Kent County as Treasurer and Family Selection Committee member, but recently resigned to move to Chicago. Mike was a licensed realtor in the Grand Rapids, MI area for two years out of college. Mike volunteered at the Inner City Christian Federation as a Homeownership class instructor. Mike was an assistant golf pro after college and a Boys Varsity golf coach, as well as a private instructor and taught community education golf classes. Mike is past President, VP, Treasurer, and Secretary of the Michigan Mortgage Lenders Association. Mike and his partner, John, live in Edgewater with their black Labrador retriever, Esmeralda (Ezzie), and enjoy their weekend home in Douglas/Saugatuck, MI. He enjoys golf, downhill skiing, hiking, cross country skiing, boating, gardening, and travel.
