Mark A. Hoppe
Mark Hoppe joined MB Financial Bank upon the merger with Cole Taylor Bank, where he had been President and Chief Executive Officer since joining the bank in 2008. His experience in commercial banking includes more than 27 years with LaSalle Bank, N.A., where, among other responsibilities, he served as CEO of LaSalle Bank Midwest in Michigan. Mr. Hoppe’s extensive commercial banking experience, broad management responsibility and deep ties to the Chicago business and philanthropic communities bring additional depth and strength to the company.
Mr. Hoppe serves on the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and on the Board of Advisors and Executive Committee for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee of Window to the World Communications, Inc. (“WTTW/WFMT”), the President’s Council for Heartland Alliance, Executive Committee Member of DePaul University’s Center for Financial Services, and the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer.
Mr. Hoppe is a past chairman of the Illinois Bankers Association and past president of the Bankers Club of Chicago.
He holds an MBA and a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.
