Michael J. Wolf is a senior vice president for MB Business Capital, responsible for developing new asset based lending opportunities in the commercial and industrial sector, primarily in Minnesota, as well as leading the retail finance effort on a nationwide basis. Wolf has nearly 25 years of experience in credit and asset based lending.
From 2011 until the merger with MB in 2014, Wolf was senior vice president, business development for Cole Taylor Business Capital, where he opened the group's Minneapolis office. Prior to that, he was senior vice president with TCI Business Capital, which he helped to transform from a strictly factoring company, Trancentral, Inc., to an asset based lending firm. Wolf also served as a business development officer for Bank of America Business Capital, where he gained expertise in retail finance. Prior to that, he was with Wells Fargo Business Credit and its predecessor Norwest Business Credit (which merged with Wells Fargo in 1998), serving in various capacities including business development, relationship management, and field auditing.
Wolf is a board member of Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Turnaround Management Association (TMA). He is also a board and founding member of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) Minnesota chapter.
He holds a B.A. in Finance and Economics from the University of St. Thomas and an MBA in Marketing from Carlson School of Management.
