Joseph J. Fobbe is a senior vice president for MB Business Capital, responsible for developing new asset based lending opportunities, primarily in Illinois and Indiana. Fobbe brings more than 20 years of banking and specialty lending experience to the business. Prior to the merger with MB in 2014, he was a senior vice president for Cole Taylor Business Capital.
Prior to that, Fobbe was with Regions Business Capital, where he was Managing Director of Originations, focused on both leveraged cash flow and asset-based transactions for financial sponsors and middle market companies. He has also been in senior origination and management roles with CIT, PNC Business Credit, and U.S. Bank.
Fobbe is past president of the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and has also served on that association’s International Board. He is also an active member of both the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and Commercial Finance Association (CFA).
A graduate of the Herberger Business School at St. Cloud State University, Fobbe also holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota's Carlson School of Management.
