All health benefits, including medical , dental, and vision insurance go into effect on the first day of the month following 30 days of your employment.
Flexible spending accounts
Annual non-reimbursed health and dependent care spending accounts are also offered on a pre-tax basis through payroll deductions. This benefit goes into effect on the first day of the month following 30 days of your employment. Regular full-time employees, and part-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week on a continuing basis, will be eligible to participate.
Pay is for a non-occupational illness or injury that prevents you from working for a period of five or more consecutive days, and is paid for by the company.
Long-Term Disability (LTD)
Is a company-paid benefit. LTD insurance begins after 90 days of partial or total disability.
Life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance
This company-paid benefit covers all active full-time employees normally scheduled to work at least 40 hours each week, part-time employees normally scheduled to work at least 30 hours each week. You can also purchase additional insurance for yourself, spouse/domestic partner, and children for an additional cost.
401(k) savings plan with a profit sharing plan
401(k) participation begins on the first of the month after three calendar months of employment. At that time all regular full-time employees, and part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week on a continuing basis, are eligible to contribute 1%-75% of your salary (within federally mandated maximums) to a variety of investment options for retirement and other long-term goals. The company will match 100% of your contribution of the first 1% and 50% of the next 5% of your annual salary that is deferred to the plan. You are always 100% vested in your contributions and vested in the company matching contributions after two years.
MB observes 10 paid holidays each year including: New Year's Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Presidents' Day; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Vacation, personal, and sick/family/emergency time off
MB offers vacation, personal, and sick days. The amount of vacation increases as the length of service increases. During the first year of employment, time is pro-rated based upon the number of months employed.
All regular full- and part-time employees may be considered eligible to participate in the Tuition Reimbursement Program for undergraduate and graduate school studies.
RTA/CTA Pretax Purchase Program
This program applies to all public transportation including costs from CTA, Metra, and PACE. You may have up to $230 deducted on a pre-tax basis per month to cover all public transportation through payroll deductions.
Employee sabbatical program
Full- and part-time employees, who work at least 20 hours per week, with at least seven years of service are eligible to take an extra four weeks of paid time off. This is in addition to their regular vacation, personal and sick time. The sabbatical can be taken for any reason.
Forgivable home loan benefit
The program offers a $10,000 (for full-time employees) and $5,000 (for part-time employees) interest free, deferred, and forgivable loan for the purchase of a single family home or condominium to be used as the employee’s primary residence. Employees are eligible to apply for this on a quarterly basis, and loans are completely forgiven after 5 years of employment following the date of the loan.
Employee wellness fund
Full- and part-time employees, who work at least 20 hours per week, with a minimum of six months of service are eligible to receive up to $300 (full-time employees)/$150 (part-time employees) per year. This benefit can be used toward exercise classes, personal trainers, smoking cessation programs, Weight Watchers or Jenny Craig memberships, yoga/meditation classes, or health club memberships.
Discounted memberships to Sam’s Club or Costco
MB will pay for half of the cost of an employee’s basic membership to Sam’s Club or Costco for all employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week
Museum or zoo memberships
All employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for a $50.00 reimbursement toward the annual membership fee of any museum or zoo of your choice.
