Administration Leadership Development Program
Administration LDPs focus on high-level projects in the Administration Division to develop a successful career within one of the key function areas, such as Marketing, Facilities and Human Resources.
Employees learn how the Compliance, Legal, Enterprise Risk and Community Development Corporation Departments function at MB. Along with this hands-on experience, the program consists of various forms of training methods, providing the Administration LDP a well-rounded understanding of the Bank’s Administration Division. Commercial Banking Leadership Development Program
Commercial LDPs gain exposure to a variety of functions in the Commercial Banking Division. Individuals rotate through departments such as Construction and Industrial Lending, Commercial Real Estate, Treasury Management, International Banking, Acquired Assets, Asset Based Lending, and Leasing.
Commercial LDPs begin their careers as credit analysts and are responsible for financial analysis and risk assessment of potential borrowers, preparation of credit memoranda to be presented to senior management, and monitoring credit risk within various loan portfolios. Along with this hands-on experience, the program consists of various forms of training methods, providing the Commercial LDP with a well-rounded understanding of the Bank’s Commercial Division. Finance Leadership Development Program
Finance LDPs gain exposure to a variety of functions in the Finance Division in order to provide a solid foundation for developing a successful career within one of the key function areas. Individuals begin their careers in an analyst role and rotate through departments including Bank Treasury, Accounting and Financial Reporting and Profitability and Budgeting.
In this program, employees are responsible for supporting these departments by assisting with fixed-income security analysis, pre-purchase review of securities, municipal credit analysis, and preparing financial reports, among other duties. Gaining an understanding of MB’s money desk, wholesale funding, currency functions, asset liability and investment strategies are also important aspects of the Finance LDP. Along with this hands-on experience, the program consists of various forms of training methods, providing the Finance LDP with a well-rounded understanding of the Bank’s Finance Division. Back to top
Operations Leadership Development Program
Operations LDPs gain exposure to the Operations Division of the Bank by working in key function areas such as: Deposit Operations, Treasury Operations and Business Systems. Within these areas Operations LDPs complete rotations in specific departments that may include: Project Management, Treasury Management Operations, BSA/Fraud, Wires, Lockbox, Item Processing and Currency Exchange, among others.
While working in a rotation, Operations LDPs provide support by working on and leading projects, gaining experience in various positions and collaborating with all levels of management. Gaining an understanding of the Bank’s operational controls, fraud and risk management techniques, management viewpoints, and company policies and practices that affect each phase of business, are also important parts of the Operations LDP. In connection with this hands-on experience, the program consists of various forms of training methods, providing the Operations LDP with a well-rounded understanding of the Bank’s Operations Division. Retail Banking Leadership Development Program
Retail LDPs gain exposure to a variety of functions in the Retail Division with the objective of becoming a Retail Banking Center Manager. Individuals in this program are responsible for sales, staffing, profitability, compliance, operations, business development, treasury management sales, and community involvement. To develop the necessary skills, Retail LDPs rotate through various positions within Retail Banking Centers and other departments including the Telephone Banking Center, Retail Lending, Deposit Operations, Retail Administration, Marketing and Item Processing.

Wealth Management Leadership Development Program
Wealth Management LDPs gain exposure to a variety of functions in the Wealth Management Division to develop a successful career in one of the key function areas. Individuals rotate through Private Banking, Investment Management, Investment Advisory, Personal Trust Services, Retirement Plan Services, and Risk Management.
Wealth Management LDPs focus on Investment Services or Private Banking. Employees work with a variety of businesses and individuals to help clients build, protect, and manage wealth efficiently. Along with this hands-on experience, the program consists of various forms of training methods, providing the Wealth Management LDP with a well-rounded understanding of the Bank’s Wealth Management Division.
